A rather major ooops for this version: logout causes severe trouble for gdm, which eventually tries to make an X screen in low resolution mode (which does not hit my laptop screen). Killing all X and gdm processes does not fix things, the same happens again after /etc/init.d/gdm start.
Timing seems to have changed in 185.18.14, it may be that gdm is proceeding when the driver is not yet ready. The Nvidia splash symbol appears, very briefly. I will stick to this version anyway - who needs logout when suspend/hibernate both work? Rgds, Jon Eliot Jon Eliot wrote: > This seems to be a successful bugfix.
