** Description changed: Binary package hint: pm-utils Basic Info: + HP DV5000z (AMD Turion + ATi Radeon XPress200m + Broadcom b43 Wireless) KUbuntu Jaunty Kernel 2.6.28-11-generic / 2.6.29-020629-generic Up-To-Date Suspect hardware; ATI Radeon XPress 200m which now must run with RADEON instead of FGLRX Last worked under Intrepid with FGLRX - I recently upgraded my laptop to Jaunty, and was pleased at many of the - updates. Unfortunately, I first noticed that I was getting crashes when - doing various operations with GIMP. Very odd, but upgrading to the - 2.6.29 kernel above, the GIMP crashes went away. Unfortunately, resuming - from suspend still did not work. I have tested several times under both - kernels, and using the suspend/resume test. The test won't even get far - enough to generate the bug report, it just crashes the first time it - tries to suspend. I was ecstatic because under Intrepid, Suspend/Resume - was finally working flawlessly, and I it was rather convenient! + After plenty of updates, Suspend/Standby still does not work. The laptop + goes to sleep, and upon pressing the power button will appear to come + back to life, but the screen stays black, and the rest of the machine is + non-responsive, aside from the fan humming away and the keyboard + initially lighting up. I still have found no useful information on this + issue. Thanks for any info you may have, I hope you find this bug report useful. Let me know if you could use any other information.
