There is another option, if a missing localization and/or branding is a problem for you -- check out Ubuntuzilla: http://ubuntuzilla.sourceforge.net/ This nifty script installs official Firefox version by Mozilla into /opt/firefox/ and takes care of symlinks, DEB diversions and future updates. As far as I have tested, it works flawlessly. It's not as clear solution as through packages, but I don't see this as a big problem.
