Sorry about that, I didn't see a place to submit a bug on that launchpad page (https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~m-buck/+junk/conkygooglecalendar). It seems that you cannot submit bugs to PPA's even though you can select the PPA as a project on the create new bug page. Apparently there is a bug about just this problem (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/malone/+bug/179873). That's unfortunate as I hoped the patch would be applied in his script to prevent my having to add the changes on every update.
