Public bug reported:
I keep my system up-to-date, with the latest Ubuntu version and updates, but
since moving to Ubuntu 9.04 have had a problem connecting. Through trial and
error, I have found that it connects immediately using driverversion 1.52, but
with ndiswrapper 1.53, appears to take upto 20 minutes to connect. Once
connected the speed is fast and reliable.
I have reinstalled ndiswrapper and the wifi driver, but still have the same
problem.
I have a Netgear WG511V2 (Marvell Technology chipset - 88w8335) and a Toshiba
Pro 4300 laptop.
I have searched for any similar problems reported, but thus far have found
nothing.
I do use "WPA/WPA2 Personnel" and this works fine.
Hope someone has a simple answer for me.
