Public bug reported:

I upgraded yesterday from Jaunty to Karmic and I hoped to get Kernel
Modesetting enabled on my Intel graphics card; however, that's not the
case and whenever I try to enable it (following these tips at kubuntu
wiki: https://wiki.kubuntu.org/X/KernelModeSetting) Compiz wouldn't work
and even metacity would be all funky (even text wouldn't render
correctly). The only PPA used in my system at the moment is the gnome-do
(do-core) PPA.

         Status: New
