This is a packaging error. I just checked the files that I think should
be patched:
debian/inkscape.applications
debian/mime
They do not contain the svgz file type.
File: test.svgz
Type: compressed SVG image (image/svg+xml-compressed)
P.S. I think that the versioning in the deb package is wrong.
"0.47~pre1-0ubuntu1" says that it is not debian native, although the
orig.tar.gz contains the debian/ folder (which does make it a debian native
package).
If you wish to keep the debian/folder in orig.tar.gz, then the version should
be without "-0ubuntu2" (or at least not separated by dash).
