I tried the Backports with no improvement. However, yesterday I happened
to find and install the compat-wireless-2.6.30.tar.bz2 (the compat-
wireless-2.6.31-rc1.tar.bz2 fail to build on my system) and this seems
to help greatly. While I only installed the new stack yesterday, I can
see that it works much better in a roaming environment, and the hand
offs between aps works much more reliably. While the connection will
still drop on occasion, the frequency is greatly reduced (from every
20min to once a day).

I will attach the report from my machine momentarily. If it matters I am
running 2.6.28-13-generic.

Thanks for the help!
