I won't have time to test this for a few days, but my concerns are as follows:
- intrepid (8.10) is currently a necessary step on the upgrade path from 8.04 LTS to 9.04 LTS; - 8.10 does not boot on a system that depends on an sc1200 disk controller; - the work-around is to boot the 8.04 LTS kernel, but I don't know (and won't have time for several days) to test whether a distribution upgrade works while running a kernel version that does not match the distribution being upgraded. So as it stands, I submit that this is still a problem that needs to be resolved in 8.10, even if 9.04 LTS supports the sc1200 controller. -- sc1200 ide controller not supported in intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/395579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
