Public bug reported: I installed some alsa-driver from my old cd and i rebooted and the sound is missing. The sound 'Volume Control' panel was having many options in the 'Device' drop-down like Alsa HDA 0, Alsa HDA 1 some thing like that. But now there is only 'Pulse Audio Mixer' with only one slider. Previously there were many sliders. Im on a Acer Laptop.
