Yesterday, after 2 days of unable to boot (or install the updates from
Monday). I was able to install the updates (everything since Monday,
except the 2.6.31-2 kernel) via recovery mode using the 2.6.30-10
kernel. After rebooting, and boot with the 2.6.30-10 kernel, I was able
install the 2.6.31-2. Then I booted up again, this time with the
2,6,31-2 kernel, it booted fine but the normal Ubuntu log-on screen is
no longer there (it's the one for Fedora, I don't like it).
