Hi Michael Brooks, Thanks for your suggestion. But to go back to 8.10, I should remove 9.04 completely, which is not the solution I am looking for. Is there an easier way to downgrade? Like how we upgrade to new distributions using update manager! That is one thing I can give a try.
But wondering, why is it taking so much time to fix this issue? Why can't canonical start using the power manager module used in 8.10 which was perfect and working like a charm!! I say I have a laptop, but I can't keep it on my lap and work :-) I will burn my lap if I start ubuntu 9.04 on my lenovo W500 and keep it on my lap!! Please fix this ASAP Regards, -P -- Ubuntu 9.04 laptop overheat and shutdown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370173 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
