Public bug reported:
The new kernel for karmic koala 2.6.31 doesn't really work out for me.
When I boot gdm starts and the background image is loaded but the login
window is not. The the vt ([Ctrl+]Alt+F2) shows kernel stack traces.
When I try to login at that vt I get a new one and need to enter my
username again.
I run linux-image-server on my desktop (I don't know why). I tested on
linux-image-2.6.31-[12]-server.
When I boot into 2.6.30-10-server everything is fine again.
I attached the relevant part of my syslog.
