Public bug reported: Using Nvidia version 177 proprietary drivers on Lenovo T61 ThinkPad with Intrepid.
>From time to time, seems like after a few minutes not being used, then press a key or move mouse (just seems like that, might be a red herring!), screen goes black, and a text screen appears with stack trace information (attached as photo). X then reboots in some weird lo-res mode and offers a menu of how to reconfigure / carry on. Note I'm not using the 180 (most recent) Nvidia drivers, as they don't work with resume from suspend. ubuntu-bug -p linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 says "linux-restricted- modules-2.6.24 does not exist". ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nvdia proprietary drivers crash X randomly on T61 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/398162 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
