Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: alsa-utils

I'm using an ASUS eeepc 901 go.
lspci says this about my sound card:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition
Audio Controller (rev 02)

Maximum speaker sound volume is far lower compared to Jaunty. Jaunty was at
least twice as loud.
Maximum headphones volume is inaudible using normal headphones. I connected my
speaker system to headphones jack and could listen to sounds from the eeepc.
This is about 99% volume loss.

The switches to deactivate speakers and headphones work.

All sliders in alsamixer and pavucontrol are on maximum.
