After installing the subcommander-doc package, it did work. Still, think it's an inconsistency having the man page in the subcommander package and the rest of the documentation in the subcommander-doc package.
One possible solution to this bug would be to refer to the subcommander- doc package in the man page (while keeping the path of the html file in the man page as well - some users wouldn't know where to find the documentation after installing the doc package). > Thanks again for helping improve Ubuntu.
