I just dist-upgraded to feisty and :
$ dpkg-query -W xorg-driver-fglrx
xorg-driver-fglrx 8.33.6-1
$ dmesg | grep fglrx
[ 32.840000] [fglrx] module loaded - fglrx 8.32.5 [Dec 12 2006] on minor 0
The two versions aren't the same.
I tried to compile my own kernel, and I got errors. Maybe that's why...
