I have external encrypted hard drive and I have been using Gnome for some time now. I was testing out KDE4 when I encounter my first bug in KDE. In a way, this is related to a silly bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/386020 When you plug in the hard drive, it shows up. By the way, KDE4 did identify the partition as a CRYPT_LUKS. I toggle the hard drive and it prompted for the passphrase. I entered the passphrase. Nothing happens. I tried it again... and still nothing happens. That was it. An endless cycle. No feedback. I found the problem. I need to install cryptsetup first and it all worked well.
