I could not reproduce the bug with:
ubuntu 9.04
python 2.6.2-0ubuntu1
python-eyed3 0.6.16
>>> import eyeD3
>>> f = eyeD3.Mp3AudioFile('41_30secMP3pro-64.mp3')

I used this sample file:
http://www.xiph.org/vorbis/listen/41_30secMP3pro-64.mp3
Could you please test with this file, too.
Does the bug still exist?
