*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 73955 *** Colin, this really has nothing to do with the bug, but I do feel compelled to correct it anyway.
Ubiquity was running on #9, because that's where I told it run, that time. As noted above, I booted the live CD, then started my home session (with my real userid) on #7 (logout the default session, login with my real ID; yes, I updated /etc/passwd, shadow passwd, groups, fstab, the whole nine yards - and yes, this works just fine, of course). Then, for fun, I switched user and got the default ubuntu session running on #9. Where it remained accessible and visible until post- step-4. Just to be 100& clear: Until step 4, ctrl-alt-f9 took me to the ubuntu session where ubiquity was happily running and visible. Then, after step 4, that entire session was invisible, thanks to the bug. And it was most definitely invisible on ctrl-alt-f9. As I say, this has nothing to do with the bug. -- Herd1 LiveCD boots, but installer hangs after step 4 https://launchpad.net/bugs/78298 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
