Thanks for taking the time to report this issue and help improve Ubuntu.
The kernel portion of apparmor underwent some major changes and is
currently in testing; you can enable it with the current karmic kernel
by booting with "security=apparmor" on the kernel boot command line.
This issue is currently being tracked in bug 375422; please give any
feedback there. Thanks again!
