** Description changed: I recently upgraded my thinkpad to Jaunty Jackalope, from Hardy Heron. - After the update, no sound works. + After the update, no sound works, except for system beeps, mic replay + (when unmuted with ALSA), and the start-up sound. I have checked alsamixer, and nothing is muted. In addition, the hardware buttons for volume up, volume down, and mute do not seem to display the volume GUI on the screen, which they did automatically in Hardy Heron.
