Looking at your BootDmesg.txt file it seems you are running a much newer
2.6.31-2.17 kernel. Is this still an issue for you? Examining the
DpkgTerminalLog.gz file attached here I see:

Running depmod.

So it seems the installation failed because of the segfault in depmod
which would have been a duplicate of bug 99547. Please be sure you've
got the newer version of module-init-tools (3.7~pre7-1) installed.
