Thanks for reporting this issue. Unfortunately, we need some more
information to forward this bug upstream to Abiword developers.
I attempted to reproduce this issue using a fresh installation of
Xubuntu 8.04. After installing, before updating and after, I typed
'abiword --help' in a terminal window and was given the expected help
dialog. I also opened AbiWord, and clicked on help in the menu. This
brought up the help at the abiword website.
I then installed the package "abiword-gnome", which removed the package
"abiword". I still get the help dialogs when using 'abiword --help'.
To assist in resolving this issue, please provide the following details:
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd.
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename'.
3) What happens if you open abiword, and click on 'Help -> Help contents...' ?
