I am afraid I do not have spare time to patch my kernel and recompile

I'd like to add that I did a fresh reinstall of Jaunty and the original
problem reported (MC950D unusable when inserted before boot-up) is no
longer valid.

However it did not automatically eject the pseudo-CDROM so attached patch is
still valid.
renaming problem title.

** Summary changed:

- UMTS USB modem Novatel MC950D unusable when inserted before boot-up
+ UMTS USB modem Novatel MC950D's pseudo-CDROM is not automatically ejected
