damn, sorry!  Was away and did not see this.  And it'll be some 2
weeks before I come back home so as to test it.

In the mean time, I simply removed the nvidia-package and gone with
the nv driver.  Had to quit Blendering because of the issue, but even
without it the issue would still show up.

As soon as I get back, I'll try to test it.
