Ubuntu version: Karmic current as of around 11:30PM Central Time July 17
X setup: XFCE session spawned from GDM (mythbuntu)
Kernel: 2.6.31-3-generic amd64
1. Select the Shutdown menu item
2. Click on Suspend
3. System suspends correctly
4. Press a keyboard key to bring it back up
5. Once you have keyboard/mouse control back, select the Shutdown menu item
again
6. Click on Suspend again
ACTUAL
7. Nothing happens
EXPECTED
7. The system again successfully suspends
(The following I tried to see if the system was in an OK state)
8. Within a few seconds of realizing nothing happened, bring up the shutdown
menu again and click Restart
9. The system correctly restarts
The same behavior happens if I use the command line "sudo pm-suspend"
instead.
