Well, according to http://www.opensubscriber.com/message/linux-
[email protected]/8811841.html Linus Torvalds took out the part of
the code that made us able to add custom DSDT-tables to our initramfs.

"ACPI: Remove ACPI_CUSTOM_DSDT_INITRD option

...ACPI code should either run much later, or this shouldn't be done at all. 
For 2.6.25, we'll just pick the latter option.  We can revisit this concept 
later if necessary."

So it's some ubuntu-guys sitting behind this all creating special patches for 
the kernels so they do what Linus doesn't want them to do?
Anyways, I'm hoping for a working DSDT-in-initramfs-patchable kernel soon.
The fan on my laptop always stays on otherwise. It's annoying.
Please do this soon. It shouldn't be more than a minor patch after all..?
