I have not yet experienced this in firefox 3.5.1~hg20090714r26057
+nobinonly-0ubuntu1~umd1~jaunty. I will update this bug if I get the
visual glitch in firefox 3.5.
However this issue can be seen in the current version of thunderbird
2.0.0.22
