I believe the issue is with account 6. My pay statement consists of "deposits" WAGES & SALARY "categories" Regular Pay Overtime Work out of class Holiday Vacation Overtime Meals etc. Money is "with held" for TAXES: "categories" Federal Tax State Tax FICA High FICA State Disability "INVESTMENTS" "Accounts" 401K Contributions 401A Contributions Retirement Contributions DUES: "categories" Union and Company Result = Net Deposit
I treat the 401 and retirement "charges" as transfers. I'm transferring money from the "company" and into the "accounts". Now this works with.9.2 but when I tried .9.3 it insisted that the 401 "INVESTMENTS" needed to be categories. In addition I couldn't change the transaction dates for any transaction, either existing or new. As soon as I changed the date from "today" the enter option grayed out. As to the import from MS Money the program didn't seem to have any problems importing the "investment" accounts. The only problem with the import deals with the entries for my main checking account where I had all the transaction details "splits" for my payroll deposits. Where I only had the deposit amount it imported the values. For the detailed ones it just skipped them. I am manually loading them into the program. Based on how many years I have records for, I need to enter about 182 more. Not fun but if it works...
