Hi Leann, I'm happy to say the bug as fixed for me by re-installing the generic/common nVidia stuff. I'm ashamed to have to admit that I completely forgot to close this bug report... Maybe this can help others? It's indeed in the logs, but one has to dig quite deep: from the logs to the specific installation scripts and from there on to the correct package to re-install. Could be added to some FAQ or Wiki or something?
