I confirm this request emphatically!

I'm moving away from Mandriva to Kunbuntu and this is something I will
have to figure out now, since we have a centralised authentication
system and the only local user is used only during the installation. I'm
aware this is not the philosophy of the ubuntu authentication system,
but I don't see why it would be so difficult to add a configuration
option to change this and other things to make it perfectly suitable for
an office environment with a centralised authentication system like NIS
or LDAP.
