Public bug reported: Binary package hint: curl
Release: Ubuntu 9.04 curl does not seem to find ssl certificates, and a curl-ca-bundle.crt file does not exist (which curl claims to be the default location where i looks for certificates). I found this related bug claiming curl should depend on ca-certiticates: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/curl/+bug/373402 However, I have ca-certificates installed and it still doesn't work. So I think curl does not point to the ca-certificates bundle by default. The error message curl gives is not helpful in resolving the problem. I think it should either be adapted to Ubuntu (stating the corrected default location, if there is one), or there should be a curl-ca- certificates.crt. I don't know enough about certificates and Ubuntu setup to know the right path to choose.
