Still an issue for me as well - identical behaviour with 9.04 and Firefox 3.0.12 (though my dialogues are a bit different).
Dragging links and images from inside the proxy works perfectly. I can drag them to the desktop with no problem. Outside the proxy, If I drag an image, I get: Error while copying. There was an error getting information about "example.gif". HTTP Error: Cannot resolve hostname However I notice that if I drag a URL into the terminal, I do indeed get the proper URL on the command line. So is this a Firefox issue or an Ubuntu issue? When I watch traffic to my proxy, I see my system trying to get something when I drag a URL or image, though I can not tell what. -- Proxy settings not respected when image is dragged to desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298009 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
