Yes, I restarted many times, I did not know what was causing the issue. I went through the apt logs, saw the above updates, and renamed the pulseaudio binary and the problem stopped. I then went into Synaptic and rolled them and pinned back to the earlier version now no problem.
There were no errors to messages, syslog, dmesg or anything else I can find. Is there a pulseaudio debug mode log of some sort. Sorry I am not an audio expert.
