Jaakan, this looks like normal synaptic behavior to me. Some packages do
have screenshots, others don't. Synaptic also does not cache downloaded
screenshots.
The only possible bug here would be that images do not show up for every
graphical package you try. I think the problem you're experiencing is
that there _isn't_ a screenshot for the package your are trying to see a
screenshot of.
