Binary package hint: hal
I believe this is a papercut,
I Tried printing with my Epson sx400.
Could not print
Error:
Unable to open device "hal:///org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_*":
Permission denied
Now after a month I stumble on a solution:
sudo chmod 700 /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb
sudo chmod 700 /usr/lib/cups/backend/hal
And all is well, printer works.
Is it possible to make this default?
