I can confirm that Gnome64's solution worked for me. The details were:
Step 1 - cd /etc/grub.d
Step 2 - sudo gedit 30_otheros
Step 3 - search and replace $root with ${root}
Step 4 - Save 30_otheros
Step 5 - sudo update-grub2
Step 6 - sudo reboot
My test system has Windows XP, Jaunty, Karmic alpha 3, and Intrepid
Kubuntu but I have only checked booting into Windows and Karmic.
