Public bug reported:

I still have got some problems. My computer is Acer 4736G. Here is my
step:

   1. I tried a test to detect my sound card
      Code:

      $ aplay -l
      **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
      card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC888 Analog [ALC888 Analog]
        Subdevices: 0/1
        Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

   2. And I also tried:
      Code:

      $ cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec
      Codec: Realtek ALC888
      Codec: LSI ID 1040

   3. So, I'm sure that my sound card is Realtek ALC888. Then I edited
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
      Code:

      $ sudo emacs -nw /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

   4. Append the sentence below to the file:
      Code:

      options snd-hda-intel model=3stack-6ch

   5. Then I rebooted my laptop. When it done, I couldn't believe that my
laptop still cannot use headphone!
      Quote:
      In Volumn Control, I had toggled the headphone on. Please do not tell me
that alert.

   6. Here is my alsa-info.sh file:

http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=c15dec3e7e76c615f033535316afb65a71eeee0a

   7. My laptop computer is Acer Aspire 4736G. Relevant machine info can be
searched on the Internet.
      Please check what problem exactly is
      Thanks a lot!
