** Description changed: have kubuntu 8.10 wubi install . after installing kubuntu first thing i did was install skype package from skype page, made test call . When what i talked was reproduced it was reproduced chipmunk style (high frecuency of the voice). playback of music and the voice of the automated message was ok. Installed audacity to see if it was skype bug (even though i have no problems in same machine with gutsy) same results in audacity. Recording in audacity the time measurement in audacity shows "slow" recording. a four of five second recording apears in audacity timeline as if it had been only two seconds. recording is with usb camera microphone with 0v51x driver as it comes from kubuntu install. + + Installed Jaunty 64b, wubi install, exact same problem, this bug is + keeping me in gutsy which is a problem as the repositories have been + taken down.
