Public bug reported:
Internet connection suddenly stopped. Can ping IPs but not domain
names. Standard troubleshooting yields no results.
Dozens of similar experiences posted on ubuntuforums.org all pointing to
an update around July 24 which seems to be affecting only Ubuntu 9.04
(32-bit, i386).
A fresh install of 9.04 proves Internet connection works until updates
are installed, then DNS-related problem halts all browsing and updates.
