Bad news. I downloaded Karmic alpha 3 and installed in my usb drive, as I always do. More problems, but this time it's worse: Gnome desktop just doesn't load. After Ubuntu splash, the screen goes black with the "loading" cursor on the center of the screen, but it stays there loading forever. I can't hear a sound, and the usb drive LED shines a bit, then stops around three times, then stops forever. I don't know if it's about Xorg and Intel anymore, so I'm gonna report another bug. And, I'm sorry, no Xorg.0.log and dmesg AGAIN, since I couldn't log into the system. I wanted to get the logs on Alpha 2, since it is the "closest to work" alpha release of Karmic for me, but this machine is not connected to a local network so I can't rely on openssh (am I wrong?). And persistent storage is always enabled on my usb installs, but will I be able to get those saved logs afterwards if I never get to open a single window in my system? I could download Alpha 2 again (I erased it as I downloaded alpha 3) and do this, but any help on how to get those logs would be appreciated.
