Hi Adil, Been away a while, but the problem remains as stated. I am shortly going to install Karmic Alpha 3 and I will post the results. Currently I have two versions of Ubuntu running 8.04.2 works perfect without any mods and 9.04 which requires the fix LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype to make it work.
