Mr. Bryce Harrington, I am sorry to inform you that I am unable to supply the Xorg.0.log from _karmic_ installation, as requested, The Xorg.0.log supplied is from the working installed Ubuntu 8.04, an upgrade from 7.10. _karmic_ does not install either from Live CD environment or CD as notified previously. As submitted previously, when trying to install _karmic_ after the initial part of the installation, a Red window with "OUT OF RANGE" on a Black screen appears. The screen stays Black with the window. Later the Ubuntu anthem is heard. At this point the only thing that I am allowed to do is to SWITCH OFF the PC. This is the reason why I can not supply you with the requested _karmic_ Xorg.0.log. I repeat, if this is of any help, that the same thing takes place when trying to install Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04.
