Can you confirm if this issue remains in the actively developed Karmic
9.10 Alpha release? ISO images are available for testing at
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/karmic/ . You should be able to test
using a LiveCD. If the issue remains, please run the following command
which will gather and attach debug information:
apport-collect -p alsa-base 399032
