No I cannot reproduce the bug, I'm sorry. When I run '/usr/bin/python /usr/bin/nvidia-detector' on my ubuntu machine it now just runs fine (producing output: 'none') So it seems that the NvidiaDetector module can be loaded now. But it occured during upgrade from Interpid -> Jaunty, so that is something I cannot redo. It might be a dependency problem in the sense that the nvidia-detector script is called before the NvidiaDetector module is completely installed.
