Disagree, the driver for the dell aio 922 is identified as Lexmark600z. Problem is how to place the drivers into CUPs or location that makes it run. I have downloaded the drivers and even get a signal to the dell printer but as indicated in the diagnostic I've provided, the scheduler does not see something needed in the path.
following the openprinting.org instructions I opened terminal and cleared the history with killall -HUP cupsd /etc/init.d/cups restart sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart /etc/software/init.d/cups restart Then I turned the printer on and then off but this did not elicit an auto download or auto Configure CUPS. If the printer is a USB printer, turn it off and turn it on again. On some distros an automatic setup of the printer gets triggered. Otherwise use your distribution's printer setup tool or the CUPS web interface at http://localhost:631/admin and go through the steps of the add printer wizard. CUPS also includes a command line administration tool; consult the CUPS documentation if you prefer to use that. please help me look at this; i have two dell aio 922 printers here but cannot print. -- dellAIO922PrinterBug9.04AMD64bit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
