Setting up a new print queue worked here.
So probably a splix upgrade issue from 2.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu2 to
2.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu2.3 since 2.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu2.3 was published in
intrepid-updates on 2008-12-03.
Probably related to bug #352472 which was fixed in jaunty.
Moving to splix package and setting importance low.
