Public bug reported:
OS: Ubuntu 9.10-alpha3, updated
Desktop: Gnome 2.27.5
WiFi driver: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter
(PCI-Express) (rev 01)
Kernel: 2.6.31-4-generic #23-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jul 27 18:39:59 UTC 2009 x86_64
GNU/Linux
What is my issue:
-------------------------
My WiFi connection is established correctly (using NetworkManager), but often I
have problem that web browser or any other application using network (such as
update manager) cannot download any file (or downloading "freezes" while it is
in progress). When I retry download, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Applet
in network manager shows that WiFi connection is still established.
It seems to be regression bug in kernel, because when using older kernel
2.6.28-13 in same distribution (Ubuntu 9.10), it works well for me.
Dmesg output (when connection is being lost):
