Confirmed with 0.47 in Karmic also,
This happens *for every instance of Inkscape I open* ,
For me its not 100% , Since i have a Dual Core , one core uses 100% , its an
overall ~50%
I timed the delay , Each time there is a delay of 10 secs for opening the
window and
The CPU usage stays at 50% [100% for 1 core] for ~25 secs even after the window
is open.
Other problem i face is ,
there is a delay in the response time when i have zoomed to >1000% [maybe it
is not related just mentioning in case it is].
Unlike the OP , I use Inkscape frequently , Pls fix this. :)
